CASTLE SIEGE OVERVIEW
Castle Sieges are high-stakes, large-scale battles in Archlord where guilds fight for dominance over one of three powerful strongholds. These battles combine strategy, coordination, and brute force as attackers attempt to break through layers of defense to claim the throne and earn the title of Castle Lord.
Each siege is divided into two sides: three attacking guilds and three defending guilds. The attackers' goal is to break into the castle, disable key defense systems, and stamp the throne. The defenders must hold the castle at all costs, protecting crucial structures and the throne room itself.
PREPARATION & STRATEGY
Before battle begins, attackers can purchase helpful siege items from the Siege Merchant, including Catapult Bombs, Summons, and Revival Stones. Attackers may also build Catapults and Revival Towers in their deployment zone — both of which can be repaired up to five times if destroyed.
However, these siege devices can only be damaged while active. Dormant Catapults and inactive Revival Towers are immune to all damage, forcing defenders to act quickly when they're engaged. Destroying an active Revival Tower removes the attackers' ability to resurrect at the frontline.
BREACHING THE CASTLE
To enter the castle, attackers can choose from three paths: the central Outer Gate or one of the two flanking Guard Towers. All routes are guarded and will retaliate with force. Once inside, attackers face the Inner Gate — the only passage into the castle's inner sanctum.
Along the way, optional objectives offer tactical advantages. Destroying the Resurrection Tower prevents defenders from reviving within castle grounds, weakening their frontline. Likewise, destroying the Tower of Life disables the defenders’ teleportation abilities, stopping them from reinforcing key areas instantly.
BREAKING THE THRONE’S DEFENSES
The throne is protected by a magical Archon Shield. Attackers must break this shield to expose the castle’s final defense: the Archon’s Left and Right Eyes. These Eyes are guarded by invincible protectors that deal heavy elemental damage. The Eyes must be destroyed within five minutes of each other, or they will regenerate and reset.
When both Eyes are destroyed, the Archlord’s gaze is broken, and the throne becomes vulnerable to stamping.
STAMPING THE THRONE
Only a Guild Master can stamp the throne, which requires standing still for 3 full minutes. During this time, the Guild Master cannot move or use skills — only healing potions are allowed. If the Guild Master dies or cancels the process, stamping is aborted and must be restarted.
Stamping is not a guaranteed victory. Multiple guilds may attempt to stamp, often turning on each other during the final minutes. The guild whose leader last stamped the throne when the siege ends becomes the new Castle Lord.
REWARDS & GLORY
Victory in siege warfare grants control of the castle, access to unique NPCs and shops, and political dominance in the realm. More importantly, it advances your guild’s influence in the race to claim the ultimate power — becoming the Archlord.
